Senior Analyst, Trade Compliance EMEA
Your new role:
We are seeking a Senior Analyst Trade Compliance to support all customs related transactions within the EMEA region. This position will report to the Trade Compliance Manager EMEA and work closely with the International Freight team in London and the Trade Compliance teams in NA and APAC.
In your new role you will be responsible for the operational execution of Peloton's EMEA Trade compliance program in accordance with EMEA Customs regulations. You will monitor all of Peloton’s Import and Export compliance activities in the region, manage the accuracy of Peloton’s European Customs entries as well as the performance of our Customs brokers.
You will ensure Recordkeeping and Master Data accuracy in our Global Trade Compliance software for Classification, Valuation and Country of Origin data elements.
The position can be based in the UK or in Germany. Peloton offers the flexibility to work from an office full time or (partially) remote.
What you’ll do:
- Operational Execution of Peloton’s EMEA trade compliance program.
- Assist in the development of import/export written standard operating procedures, work instructions and manuals.
- Responsible for Customs recordkeeping in accordance with all import country jurisdictional mandates.
- Import of goods into free circulation of European Union, Exports from EU into non-EU countries
- Thorough understanding of the harmonized tariff schedule to support tariff classifications for various Peloton products into all EMEA markets.
- Responsible for maintaining EMEA Trade Compliance information in Peloton Master SKU database
- Monitor and provide guidance to Peloton’s EMEA customs brokers.
- Address daily shipment inquiries to ensure a smooth import/export process.
- Perform import and export documentation audits.
- Responsible for the auditing and approval of EMEA customs brokerage, duty, VAT invoices/statements for accuracy.
- ensure compliance of customs brokers through set KPI and regular business reviews
- Assist in the implementation of a global trade compliance software.
- Have a working knowledge of EMEA duty drawback programs, bonded warehouse, FTZs operations and Free Trade Agreements
- Knowledge and understanding of IncoTerms.
- Partner with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers to develop compliance solutions.
Who you are:
- Minimum experience of 3 years with an with an EMEA based Importer, Customs broker or Trade Compliance Consulting firm
- Must be fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Must have a collaborative, team mentality
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Must be organized, highly detailed and process oriented
- Skillful use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Mail/Sheets/Docs
- Overall passion for Compliance and Supply Chain
