Paxful is searching for a Senior Business Intelligence Associate who is great at Analytics & Data Modelling to join our Finance Team.  This role will be a partner to the Finance team to anticipate their analytical needs and leverage data to derive actionable insights. You will be based out of our New York office and report to our Manager, Business Intelligence

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will entail:

  • Analytical: Partner with Finance and other business unit leaders to build business cases and mitigate financial risks for new products, product enhancements, partnerships, expansions, and pricing changes.
  • Work with internal Finance team members to provide ad hoc data modeling and business analysis.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to project and forecast business performance in the short and long term;
  • Visualization: Develops and maintain Tableau dashboards that span financial reporting
  • Communication: Deliver data-driven insights in a coherent and structured manner to a varied audience.

The most important skill and capabilities for this role are:

  • Proficient in SQL, Excel, experience with Python or R
  • Experience with statistical modeling, time series forecasting, regression etc.
  • Experience building intuitive and impactful dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills and an informed, evidence-based approach

Target Experience: 

  • 3+ years of experience in financial data analytics (high-growth company experience preferred)
  • Bachelors in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Masters is a plus
  • Experience in Product, FinTech or Crypto etc.
