Senior Business Analyst
The Finance & Operations team is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst (BA) to take charge in the assessment of internal company operations and processes. This role will work cross-functionally to document and measure key metrics across the business, gather business requirements and drive internal efficiencies. The role will also include providing project management support to ongoing projects, and developing tools and techniques to help improve the effectiveness of existing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users to identify and document current business processes and requirements
- Drive an efficient and effective change management process with all stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for improvement, and work with stakeholders and the project manager on executing those improvements throughout the existing business operations
- Perform analysis for specific systems, processes, and business solutions
- Monitor key metrics, root causes/issues, and identify solutions
- Create documentation for workflow, processes, training and operational support
- Test and QA new tools/systems, and create system documentation and user manuals
- Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate systems and processes
Perform user acceptance testing for newly established tools and processes - Collaborate with other work streams to control scope and timeline, and report project progress to the Executive team
Requirements / General Experience:
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a willingness to execute a variety of project tasks
- Able to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions
- Comfortable learning new tools, taking initiative, and making recommendations
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to understand and translate business requirements
- Experience with process improvement and familiar with BPMN standards
- Knowledge of technical vendor landscape, business processes and IT operational structure
Helpful Background:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus
- Previous experience as a senior business analyst or in an operational role
- Project management and task organization skills
- External Consulting or Professional Services experience is a plus
