Codecademy teaches the world the skills they need to find jobs. Our product team is looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to help organize and make our data more accessible. Your mission is to turn this data into insights that enable us to get a better understanding of our product vision. You will study qualitative and quantitative research and bring a data-driven approach to every decision we make.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze massive data sets & experiment results to derive actionable insights that will help drive product decisions
- Build and maintain Looker/Other dashboards to assist with this analysis
- Perform segmentation analysis using varied strategies to better understand our learners
- Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design and marketing to bring a data-driven approach to Codecademy
- Leverage data to better understand our learners’ journey
- Collaborate with design to bring analysis to life in a human way
- Work side-by-side with product & marketing to create models that will drive customer targeting to deliver iterative improvement to our products
- Collaborate with engineering on maintaining Codecademy’s data collection and processing, and constantly maintaining best practice standards
- Work with product to design effective experiments and evaluate the results
What You'll Need:
- 4+ years of analytical experience in a similar role, with a focus on one or more of the following: product, business, marketing analytics.
- Expert SQL - we use Redshift; experience building derived tables for business users in LookML is a plus.
- Fluency in at least one scripting language - R or Python preferred.
- Experience building dashboards in tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Deep understanding of statistical methods and when to use them (hypothesis testing, experiment design, regressions).
- Strong communicator and problem solver, comfortable working with loosely defined business problems.
- Experience performing analysis with large datasets.
- Passionate about teaching the world to code.
