We are looking for a motivated, curious, and passionate senior data engineer who is inspired by the Flowcode vision to join our data engineering and machine learning team. As the newest member of the engineering team, you will help further entrench best practices for high quality code, documentation, and testing along with a desire to move fast, build fast, learn fast, and iterate fast. As part of the Flowcode Data Engineering team you will:

• Use a modern data stack to build and maintain Flowcode's data infrastructure for our data analytics product, consumer facing products, business intelligence tools, and machine learning products
• Design and build a data platform that ingests and transforms scaled data from diverse and disparate data sources using tools such as Python, SQL, Snowflake, Airflow, and Fivetran.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, machine learning, and product and data analytics teams to encourage automation and ensure data quality and swift execution
• Improve the speed and quality of team development by proactively scoping projects, identifying and assessing technical debt, and taking initiative to develop new models and critical ETL pipelines
• Optimize data delivery for real-time data processing, ensuring quality, reliability and scalability

What makes you a good addition to our team:

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer building scalable applications using Python, SQL and AWS cloud services in a fast-moving environment
• Past experience or strong familiarity (and a readiness to learn!) our tech stack, including Python, SQL, Snowflake, Amazon Kinesis, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker
• A proven track record moving into positions of greater scale, scope, and accountability
• A strong sense of personal accountability and ownership
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field
• Effective communication and listening skills and the ability to interpret and act on the needs of various stakeholders, teams, and customers
• An excitement for startup environments and the ability to pioneer uncharted territory
