Dotdash reaches an audience of over 100 million people each month and our data stretches back to before the existence of Google. We are looking to add an experienced team player to our highly collaborative Data Science team that supports all Dotdash brands. As a Senior Data Scientist, it will be your responsibility to support growth and engagement initiatives through high-quality products and rigorous, in-depth, analyses of our first-party data. 

About Your Contributions:

• Drive high-visibility and high-impact projects across all Dotdash verticals. Possible projects include models for competitor analysis and insights at scale, optimizing content performance and product experience, and building internal data tools to support sales and editorial
• Responsible for full cycle development of data science and machine learning models from data collection and cleansing, modeling, prototyping and validation, A/B testing, deployment on managed cloud platforms, documentation, and finally, maintenance
• Work closely with stakeholders across product, content, and sales to move initiatives forward and support decision-making
• Develop best in class content tools – for recommendations, knowledge engines, engagement and more
• Attend and present at conferences to keep the wider team up to date with innovations in data science and relevant technology

About You:

• Masters or PhD in computer science, math, or other quantitative field
• 3+ years of experience building end-to-end data science machine learning systems for real-world, internet scale applications, in e-commerce, ad-tech or web publishing
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with standard data science tools and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scipy, NLTK, Spark, Docker, etc.)
• Experience building and deploying solutions on at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• Familiarity with SQL, noSQL, and/or ElasticSearch
• Excellent data science fundamentals, with a solid grasp of statistics and modeling techniques
• Proven history of leading projects from start to finish and shipping high quality, scalable code
• Balance multiple projects and priorities from numerous stakeholders with quick turnarounds
• Able to independently and fluently translate business needs to data problems
• Excellent ability to communicate results and progress to non-technical and technical audiences
