Description
The role is to ensure end-to-end successful delivery for complex programs, projects, or multiple workstreams in the Big Data and Analytics domain. The Senior Delivery Manager is accountable for the overall project delivery, client satisfaction, and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time, and within budget.
You are bringing delivery expertise and theoretical knowledge from Data and Analytics domain, working alongside globally renowned, award-winning development and technology teams who are passionate about what they do, and how they do it. *While this job is assigned the the NY office, the majority of the work can be done remotely

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Help internal and external product engineering organizations to improve cost, quality, and time to market
  • Elicit relevant information through formal and informal interview, surveys, and system data analysis
  • Ideate and socialize solutions collaboratively through different workshops
  • Tailor and design crisp and clear message for executive how to execute change
  • Do service design and continuously improve our methodology and consulting offering
  • Conduct research in your domain expertise such as engineering, operations, organization, architecture, data, and product management
  • Do publications and presentations within and beyond the organization
  • Participate in pre-sale and sales activities: RFP responses, meeting with executives, proposals preparation, SOW development


REQUIREMENTS

  • Practical experience in delivering projects in Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence. Familiar with relevant technological solutions, industry best practices
  • Good understanding of data engineering challenges and proven experience with data platform engineering (batch and streaming, ingestion, storage, processing, management, integration, consumption)
  • At least 5 years of experience in gathering and understanding customer business requirements to introduce Big Data technologies
  • Familiar with multiple Big Data technology stacks (e.g., Hadoop, Yarn, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
  • Aware of various tools, techniques, and hands-on knowledge on some of the tools, techniques (e.g., Python, Scala; data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization, aware of various tools, technologies
  • Good understanding of classical analytics methods; including relevant theories
  • Good understanding of various delivery approaches, well versed in agile
  • Understanding data related security challenges
  • Experience with one or more leading cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), leading role in on-prem to cloud migration project(s)
  • High degree of comfort to present both to large or small audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment
