WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
In the role of Senior Security & Compliance Analyst at Box, you will lead efforts to identify, track and mitigate risk related to Box's third-party ecosystem. You will help enable Box to use secure, compliant third-party suppliers that support our product, internal operations, and GTM strategy. Working within Box's Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) organization, this role requires a comprehensive understanding of security controls and an ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Be responsible for third-party risk assessments of Box's most critical vendors: assessing controls, processes, and/or systems to identify the threats and vulnerabilities that lead to risk, developing plans to mitigate against risks, and managing the remediation plan to completion.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather information needed for periodic security and compliance reviews, validations, and audits.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries, security assessments, and other requests related to Third Party Risk Management
- Support the development, update, revision, and/or implementation of security and compliance policies, procedures, practices and metrics.
- Manage and administer the tools used for performing supplier security and compliance reviews.
- Propose and drive strategic transformation and operational improvement to continuously improve business outcomes
WHO YOU ARE
- 4+ years experience within a fast-paced technology environment with a focus on Third Party Risk Management, Security Certifications, or Audit.
- Solid understanding of relevant security and compliance certifications/frameworks, including: GDPR, CCPA, NIST, HIPAA, ISO27001, SOC, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS
- Experience with and knowledge of SaaS/Cloud production environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to "wear multiple hats" at once and/or pivot quickly based on business need.
- Ability to balance competing priorities based on risk and criticality, and develop initiatives on your own.
- Passion for collaboration, metrics, process improvement, figuring stuff out, and making things better.
- Effective written and oral communication. Must be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills
- CISA and CTPRP preferred
- Natural desire to be kinder than necessary, and have fun while being awesome
