Yieldstreet is looking for a Sr Quality Analyst. This is a crucial role in Yieldstreet’s Test engineering team. You will be working with a super-talented, motivated and distributed complex of engineers, product managers and designers on a large and growing, modern and highly distributed platform. We will rely on you to take an active hands-on role in ensuring the quality, stability and robustness of our software platform across both web and mobile. You will be coaching a team of 2-3 manual testers and guiding them along the way to make sure we deliver the best bug free software out to prod.
What You'll Do:
- Work with a diverse global team of engineers, designers and product managers to test and validate mobile and web builds that are shipped to prod on a regular basis.
- Work with the developers to identify and prepare test data needed for the test execution.
- Work with product managers to understand the product better and get clarity on the various products that we ship, should you have any questions.
- Eliminate the communication gaps, inconsistencies in the product usage across different platforms.
- Roll up your sleeves and crank out some automation code yourself if manual testing becomes a routine.
What You'll Need
- First and foremost, an innate talent of finding ways to break things.
- Equally important, a passion for testing software and attention to detail with the requirements.
- 5+ years of experience working in the test engineering space, covering all aspects of testing including, but not limited to, functional testing, regression testing, UAT, manual testing across the full stack (web, mobile and back-end)Excellent at working with API tools like Postman or cURL commands.
- Experience with testing react native and hybrid apps built for iOS and Android devices using TestFlight and APK download via Play Store or Microsoft App Center.
- Experience working with tools like SauceLabs or Browserstack for testing the app on various mobile devices.
- Strong SQL chops, proficient in finding your way around a relational database.
- Experience with using browser development tools to view logs and capture network traces - mitmproxy or charles proxy
- Experience with release management and making a no/go decision and advocating for quality and releases by working with developers.
Nice To Have:
- Specific experience with CypressSpecific experience with Jenkins
- Exposure to broader testing like chaos engineering
- Experience with working in event stream processing architectures like Kafka/Kinesis/Google pub-sub/Azure Scheduler MQ
- Experience with or knowledge of containers : docker / Kubernetes
- Experience with working on observability tools like Grafana, Kibana and Kiali
