As a Transfix Supply Chain Analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing our improving and expanding our freight brokerage service utilizing truckloads of data. This role is responsible for analyzing operational performance across quality, productivity, and cost, as well as owning the organization-wide Sales & Operating Plan process by driving capacity planning across the business. This role will improve our ability to forecast capacity needs and consistently cover loads in order to smooth the impact of spikes, seasonality, and volume volatility. This function is also intended to use forecast accuracy improvements to lower variable cost planning accuracy, which in turn will reduce overall cost.

What you'll do:

  • Create, implement, and continuously improve scorecards that provide meaningful and actionable insights into each component of our supply chain, allowing our team to have real-time, fact-based conversations that lead to improved business performance
  • Ensure that our leaders have the information needed to monitor, measure, and manage our operations
  • Lead analytical studies into our operations and produce dissertation-level quality insights that can be turned into a roadmap for business leaders
  • Proactively implement processes and tools to improve the operational effectiveness of the organization
  • Partner closely with Finance and Data teams to track and report on every dollar spent in operations, creating and sharing insights with Operations and Finance teams
  • Review and analyze gathered data to locate areas in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve
  • Form cross-functional project teams, planning and organizing, managing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders
  • Partnering with key functional leaders experts across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives
  • Translate complex math into easy-to-understand, visually-engaging, and actionable insights

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or quantitative field
  • You love data and have at least two years of professional experience in quantitative analysis and problem solving
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), and statistical/mathematical software & methods (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
  • You are comfortable working in high-paced, impact-driven environments
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are an effective communicator that can draft compelling analytical reports as well as clearly communicate a concept to executives in a meeting.
