A Better opportunity:

As the Volume Management, Business Insights Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing our decision making skills across different product lines & business units. You will help create  a dashboard to help with all things data & reporting. You will also be instrumental in ensuring our metrics are accurate and up to date as well as be a key team member in charge of updating the executive-level team with synthesized trend reports.

Job Responsibilities:

    • You will build out our “Control panels”, a live view of all the critical levers of the business 
    • You will obsessively monitor our metrics to ensure (1) nothing is breaking, (2) we’re tracking to goals based on financial model and operating plan
    • You will build and maintain executive-level synthesized trend reports (weekly metrics, quarterly/yearly reports)
    • You will perform ad hoc analyses to diagnose trends in data and explain patterns
    • You will provide data-driven insights and recommendations to our teams (acquisition, growth, sales, operations, cap markets) with a focus on optimizing revenue and margins
    • You (may) informally manage 1-2 junior team members (India analysts) in building out reporting / analyses

About You:

    • 4-5 years of experience in an analytics, consulting, finance or at a fast-paced startup
    • Advanced proficiency of both SQL and Tableau. You can code SQL and build a Tableau dashboard in your sleep
    • You have experience reporting KPIs and trends to executives and diving into the drivers of performance; you'll have a finger on the pulse of the business and be expected to know how the business is performing and why at all times. You can comfortably explain your point of view in front of the CEO and other C-suite execs.
    • You have a high level of organization and attention to detail; you'll create and manage reporting on dozens of KPIs and metrics based on a vast and not-always-clean dataset.
    • You have the ability to operate independently; you'll spot trends before they're apparent to others and make recommendations to ensure metrics continue to trend in the right direction.
    • You have experience working with open-ended questions and have a track record of turning fuzzy problems into actionable data
    • You are business-driven, and care about getting to the bottom of how to drive bottom line results:
    • Experience with Python, R, or other advanced analytics tools is a plus

First, I glance at emails and my calendar. Then, I put in my free Seamless order (lunch and dinner is covered). I then use the first few hours of my day for deep thinking and problem solving where I sit with my notebook to brainstorm and sketch out ideas and initiatives. After lunch is when I have all of my meetings with teams in the US and India.

I started as an Office Manager from Undergrad. A year later, I became a Customer Experience Associate for our Mortgage Operations team, and 3 months after that, I managed a team of 10 associates. Two years later, I found myself as a Customer Experience Strategist. I've had the opportunity to grow tremendously within and outside of my roles.
