Job Description:

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing Solutions Services, the successful candidate will play a transformational role as the technical leader of cross functional teams focused on product implementations, customization engagements, and data modeling services. The role will include responsibility for leading internal teams, developing best practices across the end to end delivery of data & analytic solutions and driving an increased level of metrics management and accountability. This leader will play a key role in developing a common culture and a high performing team operating predictably at the intersection of big data, marketing insights, and consulting services.

The Vice President will be responsible for defining best practices across big data ETL, modeling/analysis and overall solution architecture for a suite of predictive analytic products. The candidate will have proven experience managing end to end engagements, leveraging client specific database construction, model estimation and business value realization. They will have proven experience managing and scaling an enterprise level software services organization with proven experience in both infrastructure and marketing application software environments.

This is a high impact role working with team members across the organization to not only provide implementation, training and consulting services, but to also play a key role interfacing with product and engineering to drive innovation for a suite of value-added products and business services.

This leader will not only be data driven and metrics focused, but also personable, dynamic, and innovative. They will have exceptional strategic and analytical skills, and one who deploys an energetic day-to-day “roll-your-sleeves-up” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines technical best practices for end to end implementation and deployment of data and analytic solutions
  • Leads three key functional teams: Solution Architecture (60 employees), Data Operations (20 employees) and Modeling (70 employees)
  • Drives training and adoption of best practices both across and within functional teams
  • Broadly perceived as an expert across MarTech data solutions as demonstrated by ability to speak to market dynamics, differentiators, and complementary solutions
  • Contributes to product roadmap development priorities and go-to-market strategies specifically towards operational excellence as a differentiator
  • Provides direct input into the product roadmap for automation, quality and timeliness opportunities across the solution set
  • Leads innovation efforts across aspects of each discipline to improve quality and functionality of the predictive analytic suite
  • Oversees efficient and effective alignment and ongoing support across a portfolio of complex client engagements
  • Partners with the Consulting, Product and Engineering organizations to execute project plans by providing thoughtful guidance and expertise
  • Manages stakeholder expectations relative to scope and develops a well understood portfolio of offerings, billable as well as those included with platform acquisition
  • Proposes, assesses, independently leads team and client initiatives
  • Able to balance client teams, management, selling, and corporate responsibilities
  • Partners with cross-functional account teams to improve account profitability and customer success

Experience:

The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:

  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in marketing data & analytics services
  • 7+ years leading and managing cross functional teams including data operations, data science/modeling and solution architecture
  • Exceptional analytics and quantitative acumen with understanding of tools including but not limited to marketing mix models, multi-touch attribution, data management platforms, customer segmentation, and/or customer identity management, and ideally experience in predictive analytics
  • Background in big data extract, load, transform (ETL) for model building and analytic workflow
  • Experience building and deploying predictive analytic models in a production environment
  • A track record of leading by example and driving organizational change across functional teams and geographic locations
  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration, including Product, Engineering, Consulting, Account Management and Sales
  • Resilient work ethic with the capability to adapt to the situation, flexibility and nimbleness in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly
  • Advanced degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, applied science, statistics or mathematics; MBA preferred.
  • Experience leveraging Hive, Spark, Python & R for data ETL and model construction
  • Big brand experience is a big plus.
