You will work across the business to define terms, enforce standards, and pursue automated technology-powered solutions. You have experience with best in class data management, storage, linking and governance processes that lay the foundation for a platform where new and improved datasets are brought quickly to market.

Responsibilities
- Create best-in-class data management and workflow processes contributing to a culture that embeds data in the heart of everything we do
- You take a client centric view of data value and work with data owners across the company to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and alignment of all data processes
- Develop and maintain common data dictionaries, tools, methods and metrics to support data governance standards around timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness, transparency, and digital distribution
- Champion initiatives that solve problems in a scalable way through linking datasets and implementing data science solutions and machine learning models
- Assess and report out on data quality and continuous process improvements through defined frameworks and KPIs
- Partner with product, technology and editorial teams to enhance productivity and deliver new and improved client solutions
- Develop, implement, and manage an ongoing cadenced data advisory board and prepare presentations materials, metrics and action plans for the quarterly data governance committee meeting
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data management, processes and technology
- Prior experience leading cross functional teams and managing mission critical data processes at a senior level
- Demonstrated track record of success driving change and building consensus with peers and senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Experience querying and manipulating structured and unstructured data
- An expert understanding of best in class data management practices, including concepts such as data dictionaries, data models, validation, and reporting
- Proven track record of involvement in setting up and efficiently managing operational data teams in finance or research-related subscription businesses
- Experience managing data through its life cycle
- Experience with a variety of programming, BI and ETL tools such as Python, Tableau, Alteryx and best practices for automated data content collection and storage
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or similar disciplines
