We are changing the way that professionals access opaque or complex information, and we are always looking for bright minds to join us on that mission.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about data, its integrity, the technology that illuminates it, and the structures that scale it. You have a deep understanding of how data creates customer value in the financial information space.

You will work across the business to define terms, enforce standards, and pursue automated technology-powered solutions. You have experience with best in class data management, storage, linking and governance processes that lay the foundation for a platform where new and improved datasets are brought quickly to market.

What we offer

  • Join a team of passionate experts
  • Fast growing and innovative company
  • Generous benefit package

Responsibilities

  • Create best-in-class data management and workflow processes contributing to a culture that embeds data in the heart of everything we do
  • You take a client centric view of data value and work with data owners across the company to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and alignment of all data processes
  • Develop and maintain common data dictionaries, tools, methods and metrics to support data governance standards around timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness, transparency, and digital distribution
  • Champion initiatives that solve problems in a scalable way through linking datasets and implementing data science solutions and machine learning models
  • Assess and report out on data quality and continuous process improvements through defined frameworks and KPIs
  • Partner with product, technology and editorial teams to enhance productivity and deliver new and improved client solutions
  • Develop, implement, and manage an ongoing cadenced data advisory board and prepare presentations materials, metrics and action plans for the quarterly data governance committee meeting

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, processes and technology
  • Prior experience leading cross functional teams and managing mission critical data processes at a senior level
  • Demonstrated track record of success driving change and building consensus with peers and senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Experience querying and manipulating structured and unstructured data
  • An expert understanding of best in class data management practices, including concepts such as data dictionaries, data models, validation, and reporting
  • Proven track record of involvement in setting up and efficiently managing operational data teams in finance or research-related subscription businesses
  • Experience managing data through its life cycle
  • Experience with a variety of programming, BI and ETL tools such as Python, Tableau, Alteryx and best practices for automated data content collection and storage
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or similar disciplines

You are

  • A communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Assertive and confident in your efforts to lead change, but diplomatic and collaborative in your approach
  • Able to distill complex topics into simple terms and dynamically tailor your approach to fit diverse stakeholder needs from the CEO to the front lines
  • A team player first and foremost; highly collaborative but with a get-it-done approach that requires demonstrating resolve to make timely decisions
  • Skilled at partnering with people in a matrixed environment where the best ideas can come from many places at all levels of the organization
  • Sophisticated enough to develop cutting edge data strategies but not afraid to personally roll up your sleeves and dive into the details
  • Able to see the big picture but have the tenacity to sift through the details of data that drive differentiated client value in our products

Reorg Values

  • Action Oriented
  • Customer First Mindset
  • Effective Team Players
  • Driven To Excel
