Position Overview
As part of DoubleVerify’s Classification team, the Web Classification Analyst ensures the quality of DV classifications, which help protect top advertisers from appearing on content they deem inappropriate for their brands. To achieve this, the Analyst reviews and classifies web content using DV and IAB categories, and also supports the development of new categories and technologies.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is interested in working in online media and content management. You’ll grow your knowledge of the ad tech industry and online space across international markets. You’ll also learn popular tools and technologies, as well as valuable skills, that will help meet the needs of top advertising clients across industries.
About You:
- Web-savvy, and can comfortably talk about popular sites, social media platforms, and online media trends
- Naturally curious learner with an interest in news and pop culture
- Critical thinker who can identify and describe themes and tone of web content
- Comfortable seeing and talking about sometimes sensitive or explicit textual and visual content
- Enjoy working on your own, but can collaborate with a team when needed (please note this role is not customer facing)
- Good at staying self-motivated and on task
Responsibilities
- Analyze and categorize a wide variety of online content, such as those pertaining to celebrity gossip, video games, sports, and politics
- Support development teams by providing training sets for machine learning and other initiatives
- Respond to requests from internal teams to review current classifications
Skills & Background:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in subject areas related to media, psychology, sociology, journalism, linguistics or information science
- Knowledge of G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs) and/or Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
- Advanced or fluent Portuguese speaking skills
