The Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Business Analyst serves as the on-site liaison between the operations management team and the software development team.

The WMS Analyst has solutions delivery responsibility on multiple complex projects/initiatives, leads the on-site development and configuration of the Warehouse and Order Management System.

Day to day activities include monitoring operations, responding to service tickets (i.e. user access requests, system issues), educating end users with regard to functionality of the technology on site while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Serve as Business Analyst for WMS implementations/Upgrades

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Participate in the definition of project scope, business requirements documents, goals, and deliverables
  • Serve as liaison between Operations, IT, and vendors
  • Develop documented implementation plan and report on project progress
  • Create and edits standard operating procedures as they pertain to the Warehouse Management System
  • Play key business role in testing, roll out, and implementation of WMS
  • Provide post-implementation support

Provide ongoing support

  • Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes
  • Provide site support for distribution centers to support processes, ad-hoc reporting, issue tracking, and drive issue resolution
  • Performs all functions in accordance with IT and business practices and procedures
  • Mentors staff members
  • Serve as WMS business super user in configuration, troubleshooting, future development, and enhancements
  • Manage continuous process improvement program as it relates to WMS operation

Other Functions:

  • Travel to remote facilities as needed.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.

Requirements

  • Expertise in supply chain management, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Experience configuring and supporting all functional area within the WMS.
  • Experience with data flows in the supply chain
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.

Experience Required:

  • 4– 7 years’ experience as an Analyst, or operational supervisor/manager in a distribution center.
  • 3-5 years of WMS support and project experience
  • Ability to write complex SQL statements for reporting and system issue troubleshooting.
  • Super User expertise with Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Control Systems, Pick-to-light, and other supply chain execution systems.
  • Experience with WMS
  • Experience with WMS implementations.

Skill and Ability:

  • Good organization and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent computer skillswith Microsoft Office
  • Punctual, accountable and professional
  • Strong communication skill set; be able to manage, influence, partner negotiate and deliver presentations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
