Art Director
Harry’s is not the same. Not the same grooming products and not the same creative output. As our product offering has scaled rapidly over the past couple years from razors to body wash, deodorant, haircare and skincare our creative needs have exponentially grown as well.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker with outside the box creative ideas to help us evolve Harry’s approach to design and photography as we scale for the future.
What you’ll do at Harry’s:
- Art direct high-quality still life ecomm, editorial & lifestyle photo shoots.
- Help establish a new style guide to our ecomm & editorial photography.
- Manage photography post production from retouching to asset resizing and reformatting.
- Maintain quality standards and asset guidelines across channels (Retail & DTC).
- Develop and execute digital campaign concepts to support all facets of the business (Retail, DTC, Paid Social, etc) including new product launches and general advertising concepts.
- Partner w/ our design team on a revamp of our DLS (Design Language System).
- Support web, email, social and direct response teams with content development & design.
- Commission photographers, illustrators, animators and other creative partners on projects of various scales that will support larger brand vision and campaign goals.
- Build out organized & thoughtful decks that help sell through the vision of the project.
- Present creative work passionately and persuasively to stakeholders across the organization and beyond.
Background & Experience:
- 5 years experience in marketing, advertising, or brand identity.
- BA or BFA in graphic design, advertising, or related field.
- Smart, dynamic portfolio with strengths in photography, composition, typography, design systems, storytelling, and experience with creative development across multiple functions.
- Ability to be self-sufficient and juggle many different types of projects on different timelines, with independent time-management skills.
- Experience art directing polished, purposeful still-life photography.
- Knowledge of photography & video production and post-production.
- Skilled in post production typography & motion graphics
- Ability and experience with presenting work in meetings, and selling creative visions to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Google Docs, Slides, Sheets for presentations.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Sketch, Figma and a working knowledge of html/css and web standards.

- You have a passion and interest for great design and art direction.
- You are incredibly organized and ready to untangle sometimes multi-tiered requests.
- A deep understanding of technical image specifications across digital and print.
- You can provide an independent worldview and are open to and interested in other viewpoints.
- You have the desire to work within a team, both giving and receiving constructive feedback and have an aptitude for creative iteration.
- You possess the ability to identify and work with creative partners including photographers, illustrators, animators, writers, directors, and producers.
- You’re able to work with minimal supervision and provide guidance for others on the creative team.
- You have an appreciation for clean, functional, effective design and communication.
- You’re a nice person.
At Harry’s we currently work in a remote/hybrid model, but this role will be working closely with our in-house staff photographer and will require in person office visits at least three times a week. We kindly request that you consider this before applying for the position. Thanks.
