WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a multifaceted, collaborative Design Lead (Art Director) to work on everything from site design to global marketing materials to social posts to event swag to art assets for content. You will have a leadership role of and will partner with your fellow Creative Studio members to drive ideation that activates Braze’s branding voice and vision to achieve the company’s business goals of driving Sales of an innovative technology.
In addition, this position is exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Bring creativity, attention to detail and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work closely with team members throughout the creative process from concept generation to final implementation.
- Explore and conceptualize visual design solutions that maintain Braze’s brand through various channels
- Mentor and direct junior staff through ideation to software knowledge
- Effectively coordinate, negotiate and source outside vendors, art services, printers, as necessary
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Be enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn new skills
- Collaborate to help elevate the quality and production level of the work coming out of the creative team.
- Define the development of the creative team's culture and quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team, and leadership.
WHO YOU ARE
- 8+ years of professional design experience
- BFA/BA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates versatility and a broad range of design knowledge and skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Knowledge of Sketch, HTML, Keynote, Adobe AfterEffects, Animate, and Final Cut Pro
- Experience creating print materials for press and content heavy collateral
- Knowledge of website design fundamentals, including “responsive” best practices
- Experience working with Developers and communicating design specifications
