What We're Looking For:
Domio is seeking a strategic and conceptual Art Director to join the Creative team. We are a hospitality lifestyle brand that is on a mission to connect the world through travel. In support of our mission, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing on innovative thinking that pushes the brand forward and positions Domio as a leader in the travel and lifestyle space. We are looking for a leader that is familiar with commercial and residential Interior Design trends, brand marketing and digital execution. You will be expected to partner closely with all areas of the business to ensure your creative ideas and insights are delivering on the brief and business expectations. You will report into our Creative Director and be based in our Union Square headquarters.
At Domio You Will:
- Act as a thought leader in the hospitality design space, growing Domio as a distinctive and innovative global travel brand
- Set an example of creative excellence that inspires and guides a team of creatives to always reach for the highest brand standards
- Gain a deep understanding of our domestic and international markets and help shape our visual communications through interior space and marketing efforts
- Concept and execute any/all materials for a brand campaign or product launch, including TV, print, OOH, brand marketing, social media, retail, experiential, internal needs, and more
- Manage, mentor, and direct marketing graphic designers, textile designers ,and freelance designers - providing direction while setting timelines and workflow processes
- Partner closely with other disciplines within the company including Marketing and Product as well as other key stakeholders to ensure cross-functional integration and strategic implementation of the Domio brand
Who You Are:
- 3+ years Art Direction experience with an established digital company or online media publication
- Experience managing and mentoring designers
- Excellent leadership skills
- Be immersed and knowledgeable in design culture and art history
- Have a strong balance of identity, typography, layout, and illustration design skills
- An open, positive and collaborative communication style
- Strong understanding of production
- Genuine ability to collaborate and contribute to a team effort but also to work independently to deliver on individual responsibilities
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Deep knowledge of and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., InDesign)
- Keynote and Powerpoint familiarity is a plus
