Description:

The Associate Creative Director, Product is the driving force behind bringing LearnVest’s mission to the masses. This person is a thought leader who is also deep in the trenches of the craft and doing in a high speed environment built to delight and perform. An equal obsession with simplicity and elegance in their own work and the designers they are leading on projects spells success.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a major role in codifying the expression of the LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual brands in digital products
  • Create elegant typography, clean grids, beautiful visualizations of complex information...
  • Ensure our products are the ultimate expression of the Learnvest mission and value prop through visual design
  • Ensure consistency of fluidity in visual language across breakpoints an devices
  • Drive the future of our products and help execute their realization
  • Mentor and manage and assist in recruiting a team of superlative visual designers
  • Assist in managing teams across offices and agencies when necessary
  • Working well with the UX, Copy, Research teams and be an ambassador of awesomeness to Product, Tech and Business Partners
  • Make sure that we are never settling

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a creative role
  • Experience mentoring, growing junior designers while ensuring every pixel is perfect and the work is strategically on point, clean and delightful
  • Significant knowledge of the fundamentals: interaction design, user-centered design, brand development, and how products are put together.
  • Ability to provide clear creative feedback as well as timely and prescriptive critique on work as well as how to improve the design process for the company as a whole.
  • Don draper-esque presentation skills and communication abilities tailored to the audience in the room
  • A passion for being on top of new platforms and technologies.
