Maven is looking for a strategic and thoughtful Brand Design Lead to join our growing creative team. As a Brand Design Lead, you’ll help own, guide, and develop the established visual brand at Maven. This is a player-coach role, meaning you’ll work independently while also guiding the work of our growing design team. You’ll have a positive impact in shaping our design culture, ensuring healthy best practices while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced B2B environment serving cross-functional teams in Marketing, Sales, Client Success, and Product, and more. 

As a Brand Design Lead at Maven, you will: 

• Work closely with the Creative Director and growing design team to lead and shape the brand design practice and culture at Maven
• Balance empathetic, compassionate people management skills with the ability to lead by example, working hands-on day-to-day
• Ensure consistent application of the brand across B2B business needs while thoughtfully identifying ways to deepen and expand boundaries in the context of business-significant mediums and channels
• Maintain a clear understanding of the needs of the business and where design can be of service to larger business goals
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success teams to build on-brand, business-driving tools, presentations, and assets
• Manage multiple projects while simultaneously meeting deadlines and project requirements
• Collaborate with a a cross-functional team on special projects and campaigns

We’re looking for you to bring:  

• 7-10 years of experience working at agencies and/or in-house creative teams
• 3+ years of excellent people management experience (and a desire to deepen those skills)
• A portfolio that demonstrates brand leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a meticulous attention to detail across multiple brands and projects
• The ability to provide clear, constructive design feedback and to lead the team toward fresh solutions
• Expert design, typography, branding, and compositional skills
• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Fluent in deck building programs like Keynote, Powerpoint, and Google Slides
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to express design-concepts clearly across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Proactive and solutions-oriented thinking; comfortable working with quick-turn timelines and shifting priorities in order to align with the needs of a growing business 
• Experience working within start-up environments is a plus
• Self-motivation to build scalable tools that allow the brand design team to work efficiently to ensure we meet the needs of the business
• Passion to further Maven’s mission of providing access to high-quality women’s and family healthcare to all
