Grailed is a fully-remote team that works between the hours of 10am - 6pm ET. We also have our headquarters in NYC (SoHo) for those that wish to work from an office environment. We are looking for an experienced, inspirational Creative Director who can help to evolve and drive the future of the Grailed brand across creative, content, and campaigns, including all social and editorial channels. They will ensure that the many facets of a project –– from design to video production, graphics, copywriting, and beyond –– all work seamlessly together from the creative brief to the final iteration. This role also functions as a hands-on leader, mentor, strategic thinker and storyteller who can turn ideas into compelling visual narratives utilizing social media, video, digital, print and experiential activations.

 

Who you are

  • Recognized expertise in creative excellence, including campaign development and execution, digital design, art direction, content creation, branding, and identity
  • Experience leading and delivering a broad range of creative projects including brand activations, video assets, social content, campaigns, films, editorial, digital, events, etc.
  • Love finding new/non-traditional ways of creating content and can operate both strategically and tactically
  • Strong ability to prioritize work, timelines, and budgets across engagements based on short- and long-term needs
  • Effective team leader, capable of providing meaningful/helpful creative feedback and with proven track record of growing individuals
  • Calm under pressure and a resourceful and creative problem solver, used to working to strict deadlines and on own initiative
  • Excellent communicator and compelling storyteller. Experience presenting to senior leaders
  • Ability to use data, insight and audience collaboration to make and optimize campaigns and content work, working to briefs where needed
  • A known name/reputation that will attract other A-List talent for staffing and project-based collaboration
  • Collaborative with the ability to work cross functionally across multiple departments
  • Minimum 10 years experience in fashion, youth culture, lifestyle and/or DTC
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite

 

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead team to produce high-impact creative
  • Ideate, establish, and reinforce consistent design systems across platforms
  • Shepard brand refresh and continuous evolution of brand over time
  • Create powerful brand look/feel that can scale
  • Lead and manage a team of internal and contract creatives from project start to completion.
  • Oversee the commission of original artwork (including photography, illustrations, typography, icons, and animations) within budgets.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly understand/articulate workflow needs with the proper advanced timing to anticipate needs.
  • Develop and be responsible for innovative, best in class creative that drives brand growth with our target audiences
  • Drive creative ideation and execution for content-driven campaigns and activations to deliver on marketing goals
  • Elevate the look of content across channels
  • Ability to structure/deliver outstanding creative presentations (internally or externally)
  • Drive creative excellence and ensure adherence to the highest possible standards
  • Build, manage and mentor a team of creatives
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with external creative agencies, contributors and partners, internal/external teams and creatives while managing multiple work-streams with competing priorities
  • Be a constant driver to bring ideas, talent, partnerships, casting, and innovation
  • Work closely will stakeholders across marketing and product to manage campaign submission process and comms calendar
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to maintain the marketing comms calendar and ensure email and push communications are delivered as planned
  • Liaise with external platforms and vendors in a professional and timely manner

We're a fully-distributed workforce and we empower our team to do their best work from anywhere within the US. We keep a spacious HQ office in Soho, NYC for those looking to work in an office setting. Our two-floor set up includes private roof access which is perfect for al fresco meetings or lunch.
