Position Overview:

Rent the Runway is looking for a Freelance Ecommerce Retoucher to produce high-quality product imagery in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. This role will require the Retoucher to follow the established standards for ecommerce retouching across all digital product assets for Rent the Runway, including on-figure, on-form and still-life imagery. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of retouching experience in an e-commerce and/or luxury photo studio environment. Additionally, this role requires a strong desire to contribute in a highly collaborative environment and promote the collective output of the retouching team with positivity and a passionate work ethic. Candidates must submit a portfolio along with a resume to be considered and must have demonstrated fashion experience and a passion for the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Retouch on-figure, on-form and still-life product imagery
• Maintain and follow server/DAM asset organization/proper file naming and image protocol
• Review imagery returned from 3rd Party Retouch vendor and assess any additional required correction
• Retouch and CC imagery to accurately represent merchandise
• Perform quality control on daily workloads
• Communicate with other departments to proactively address discrepancies and resolve issues
• Prioritize retouching to meet high volume targets and maintain SLAs
• Daily tracking of metrics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in photography with 1-2 years of high volume photo retouching experience; portfolio focused on beauty and fashion i.e. product, still life, skin and hair
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Mac OS X
• Working knowledge of paths, alpha channels and actions
• Hands-on knowledge of color theory and color management working within sRGB web and CMYK spaces
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet quick turnaround times
• Must be well organized, self disciplined and professional
• Must be ambitious, resourceful, flexible and a quick learner
• Working knowledge of photography and Capture One Pro a plus
• Able to work autonomously and in collaboration with a team
• Comfortable working within a fast paced, ecommerce environment
• Previous ecommerce retouching experience a plus
• Proven ability to work efficiently and produce a high volume of retouched images
