The Role

We’re looking for a motivated Graphic Designer to join our rapidly growing team. Great creative design is a key part of our value proposition at Share Local Media, and you’ll be a critical part of our design team by developing eye-catching client creative, conducting production design and proofing, using your creative knowledge to provide feedback and improve client creatives, and shaping the future of our own branding at the company. This role will work closely with all major teams at the company - marketing, product, and technology - in addition to interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with updates to existing client campaign creatives (inserts, envelopes/foldouts, etc.)
• Reviewing all artwork for accuracy and adherence to specifications
• Partnering with clients to develop new campaign creative/mockup potential formats to build interest
• Assisting with the art direction of the shared mail program to continuously test and improve performance
• Overseeing high volume production-related design projects with strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to define and provide guidance on direct response design best practices, as well as client creative feedback
• Helping to further define, expand, and articulate the SLM visual identity and build out brand touchpoints
• Thinking creatively about new ways to develop the SLM brand

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience
• Strong design aesthetic
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Passion for print media/direct mail
• Knowledge and experience with Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign
• Clear sense of urgency and good time management skills, with ability to move quickly from one project to another
• Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
• Self-starter with a “no job is too small”/”get it done” attitude
• Inherent sense of teamwork, with desire to work in a collaborative environment with other designers, marketers, and developers to build on ideas and jointly solve creative challenges
• Ability to take feedback well, with a clear understanding of objective vs. subjective preferences when it comes to critique
• Potential to jump in with new ideas and think critically and creatively

Share Local Media, or SLM, is a rapidly growing startup reimagining the world of offline marketing for tech and e-commerce companies. We started as e-commerce marketers ourselves, and launched SLM with a goal of turning direct mail into a high performing, scalable channel for a digitally native client set. To do so, we’ve taken an inputs based-approach to the space, and re-engineered the channel from the ground up to make it easier to test, faster to execute, more measurable, and ultimately, more effective for e-commerce and tech clients of all types.
