THE STORY

Like most guys, we just want getting dressed to be easy. But somewhere along the way things got complicated. Nothing seemed to fit quite right, quality was lacking and shopping was a painful exercise of trial and error. There were somehow way too many options, or none. And whenever we did find something we liked, we knew it would be a little different the next time we looked. So we decided to fix that.

We started with underwear and socks, things that could make you more comfortable every single day. Since then, we’ve gone on to reinvent other essentials that didn’t meet our standards for comfort, performance, quality, or design. If you only need one version of it, we only make the best possible version—and once we get it right, we don’t change a thing.

THE ROLE

Mack Weldon is looking for a Digital Designer with a duel skill set in both graphic design and motion graphics to help develop our brand’s aesthetic across all touch points with a strong focus on: digital ads, social media, email and web. You will work collaboratively with our in-house senior designer and outside creative agency along with product development and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design digital ads and social posts (interactive/static/animated), emails, website content and occasional print collateral.
• Assist in the planning, execution and post-production of in-house photo shoots.
• Independently and consistently execute original, on-brand collateral from concept through to completion in a timely manner.
• Communicate creative ideas and design direction in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.

What we want from you

• Create visually stunning designs but are able to also prioritize the user’s perspective across all channels.   
• Can work under tight deadlines while juggling several projects and adapt to change.
• Respond positively to feedback (we need a team player!).
• Resourceful, scrappy, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
• To immerse yourself in the current Mack Weldon branding, guidelines and best practices. 
• Stay up to date on design trends and technologies and can apply them where it makes sense for the Mack Weldon brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years industry experience in a graphic and/or motion design role, eCommerce is a plus
• Current portfolio of self-created work showcasing strong layout skills and motion graphics
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. Figma is a plus.)
• Meticulous eye for typography, consistency and a pixel-level attention for details
• Strong organizational and time management skills with experience following a formal project management process
• Experience with GIFs, animations and light video editing is a must
