Your team:

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to design and develop our learning programs. As an Instructional Designer, you will apply creativity, problem solving, and inclusive design principles to come up with innovative digital and blended learning solutions to meet user and business needs.

How you'll help make homeownership achievable:

  • Create engaging learning experiences, activities, materials and compelling course content to meet the needs of internal and external audiences
  • Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases and communicating with key partners.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, program and product owners, cross functional teams, subject matter experts, and department leaders to identify performance gaps, learning objectives, content storyboards and stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage the development of instructional materials (Live training, tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio and video scripts, storyboards, navigational text, tests, etc.)
  • Gather, analyze, and address metrics and feedback from users to ensure high quality and efficient learning solutions and iterate on content design while evaluating the learning effectiveness
  • Work with cross functional teams to keep all learning materials up to date based on product and program changes

What we're looking for:

  • 3-5 years experience in instructional design
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Experience with LMS 
  • Understanding the ADDIE model, familiarity with SCORM, proven skills of online learning, learning technology, instructional and graphic design
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint required
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple small to medium scale projects from initiation through delivery
  • Ability to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create training for internal and external audiences
  • Strategic thinking, creativity and flexibility in proactively addressing future challenges and opportunities specific to targeted audience
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Visual design skills
