  • As our Instructional Designer on the Education team, you will have high visibility and achieve significant customer impact. You’ll have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching and learning, with enthusiasm for data, to drive learning and establish positive customer relationships.
  • The role of Instructional Designer will have a significant role in the development, creation, and implementation of self-paced and traditional training and education content to our customers and internal staff. You will work alongside internal and external partners to design new learning experiences while reimagining existing product training.

Instructional Designers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling technical course content for self-paced and instructor-led training
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather knowledge and build learning objectives, training content and other assets as needed
  • Gain domain knowledge to identify and clearly communicate highly complex content and present simplified and relevant design proposals, then revise the design as needed based on input from resources and experts
  • Leverage agile development techniques and processes to create content for a rapidly changing environment
  • Create quizzes and skills assessments to measure the learning outcomes

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, a related field such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or equivalent practical experience, preferably in SaaS environments
  • 3+ years direct experience in designing and developing adult education curricula, training materials and content to include online/e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training assets
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and ability to evaluate learning effectiveness using instructional design assessment strategies
  • Experience leveraging learning management systems and maintaining quality assurance
  • 3+ years of experience with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate360, TechSmith)

  • Able to adapt quickly to changes in technology
  • Exceptionally organized - manages time and change effectively, and successfully juggles multiple projects simultaneously
  • A good communicator and have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident to work with all levels of employees and managers

Reporting to Collibra's Sr. Manager Instructional Design, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will participate in instructor-led bootcamps to achieve product knowledge for Getting Started and Collibra Catalog
  • Within your third month, you will develop a series of courses and tutorials for Getting Started
  • Within your sixth month, you will develop a series of courses and tutorials for Collibra Catalog
