About the role….

Policygenius' Content Team is dedicated to making complex personal finance topics easy to understand — and fun to learn about! The Junior Designer — Content will work closely with our writers, editors and Media Relations team to create illustrations, infographics, collages and other visual assets to enhance and support our editorial and educational content. This role will report to the Editorial Designer.

In this role, you will…

• Concept and create visuals for our educational and editorial content in coordination with our writers and editors
• Work in support of the Editorial Designer to produce visuals for our newsletter and social media accounts
• Use creative thinking to make recommendations on editorial design in order to improve the effectiveness of our content
• Help maintain visual consistency across all content marketing efforts

We’d love to hear from you if…

• You have 1+ year(s) experience creating visuals for digital media; a degree in design or illustration plus!
• You have a portfolio of visual assets showcasing skills in design, color theory, layout, typography, and illustration with a sharp attention to detail
• You have the ability to work in different mediums creating designs, illustrations, collages, and infographics 
• You have a knack for translating creative concepts, news stories and articles into visual storytelling
• You have the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively, making timely decisions in order to meet project deadlines
• You have proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• You are comfortable with collaboration, receiving feedback and being a team player
