Who you are:

You are a creative, technologically savvy, and confident designer with a strong portfolio. You want to have a say in what you create while willing to work within an established design system. You're excited about being part of a small in-house creative team and contributing to the growth of Dataminr as a brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing creative software to produce artwork for various applications, including but not limited to: print and digital ads, social media assets, eCommerce banners, retail signage, packaging mockups/print-ready artwork, brand books, and identity design.
  • Collaborating with other creatives on complex projects that involve several moving parts and a range of skill sets.
  • Under general direction, working independently to develop creative solutions to design problems.
  • Sharing competitive research and current design/fashion/social trends with the team regularly.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop creative solutions across all channels.
  • Translate business and marketing objectives into ideas that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, engaging, and in keeping with brand expression and standards.
  • Be willing to go outside your comfort zone. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, Visual, Fine or Commercial Arts, Art Design or related field.
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role within a company or agency environment.
  • Strong operating knowledge of AdobeCC - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterFX - as well as Sketch. 
  • Animation or Illustration skills are a BIG plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of type, photography, and color.
  • Excellent communication skills.
