We’re hiring a Lead Production Designer to join our growing design team. The Lead Production Designer heads up a team of Production Designers to deliver best-in-class digital creative. As a visual design leader, they will help the Growth & Support team as well as Client Partnerships with digital creative/design support while adhering to the brand design principles to ensure consistency and one experience across all channels. They will play a key role in developing creative concepts and manage/supervise the execution of all creative assets from inception to delivery. The Lead Production Designer will promote best-in-class design practices throughout the organization and help to mentor and coach more junior designers on their team. They will have a deep working knowledge of interactive and digital media spaces and have advanced skills in design, to ultimately create effective and inspiring creative work.

Your role at Bread:

• Manage a team of 1-2 designers providing direction, guidance, and feedback to enable your team to grow and improve their skill sets through mentorship and by example
• Supervise and coach production designers on design best practices throughout the creative production process
• Ensure the successful completion of timelines, milestones, and deliverables of junior team members
• Individually produce top-notch work that injects usability and delight into the user experience, as we continue to push the boundaries of modern UX 
• Work quickly and balance between immediate needs and longer deadlines
• Manage creative backlog, prioritizing and distributing tasks among the design team
• Act as a leader, a mentor, and a coach to each designer, displaying superior leadership skills to keep the team engaged
• Actively collaborate with engineers, QA specialists, product managers, content strategists, and UX research on product strategy and execution

Must Have:

• 7+ years of experience as a production designer
• A robust portfolio of work that demonstrates your acumen as a visual designer showcasing both mobile and desktop designs
• Ability to deliver on both business and user goals
• Experience in mentoring and giving feedback to help others grow and level up
• An appetite for experimentation, learning, and iteration
• Experience leading and managing both in-house and/or external teams. 
• Experience providing clear creative direction, career path guidance, and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule
• Experience as a collaborator - willing to shape ideas as well as build on the ideas of others
• Extensive knowledge of design-related tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, Invision, etc
