At Hive, we know great design is essential to a great product. Our teams live all day in Hive -- let's make their home a beautiful, functional and rewarding place to be.

In this role, you will take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs and interfaces. You will collaborate with engineering, customer success, sales, and key stakeholders throughout the design process from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. You should be comfortable working collaboratively in a “rough draft culture” where we share ideas early and often.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop a deep understanding of the needs of our customer base.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders regarding feature design and prioritization.
- Develop sketches, wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes to effectively communicate and validate interactions and design ideas.
- Understand which research methods to use in a given situation, conduct research, and use findings to inform the design of the product.
- Engage directly with customers to test design ideas and solutions.
- Work closely with product designers to create engineering-ready designs and collaborate with engineers, customer success, and sales to design, launch, test, and iterate products.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of UX work experience (and demonstrable portfolio) designing B2B mobile and web-based applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience designing and executing user tests and usability studies to direct product designs and priorities, and gathering feedback
- Experience with UX design tools (tools we use include Sketch, InVision among others)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
