We’re looking for a real Product Design leader. Someone who relishes juicy design challenges in a system-based design world. As the Design Manager, you will work with lots of data, intense user scenarios, but have the freedom to make a real change to a complex product. You’ll have direct impact on Namely’s business through design ownership of every aspect of Namely’s platform (think payroll, benefits, performance, mobile, social, and many more ways to build a better HR platform). We’re growing a young design team as a part of a rapidly expanding and maturing startup. Come be a part of it and get some great work done!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and members of the Product Design team to create user-centered solutions for Namely’s product
- Setting design style and growing a Design System
- Manage and develop the Product Design team
- Integrate separate products into a single cohesive user flow
- Manage and perform tasks and on the UX and UI side of the Product Design field
- Integration with a large team of front-end engineers
- Grow and manage our UX/UI testing processes
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a management or leadership role on a design team
- 6+ years experience on a digital product design team launching multiple successful products and features
- Exceptional user interaction design, visual design, and information architecture skills
- Experience partnering with product managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders across disciplines
- Experience using data to inform design decisions
- Experience in interactive- and data- intensive digital product (such as eCommerce, publishing, analytics, or enterprise software) across web and mobile platforms
- An ability to think strategically and creatively
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong technical knowledge
- Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

- Software-as-a-service (SaaS) experience
