We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join Maven’s Product Team.  Reporting into our Head of Product Design, you will lead our small - and growing - User Research team. Your team will work directly with Maven Product Managers, Product Designers, and business stakeholders to better understand how Maven members engage with our products to inform new features and experiences.  You will build out Maven’s UX Research function in order to prioritize what key questions will inform and drive future product strategy to support Maven’s goal to drive better health outcomes through an engaging human-centered experience.

As a Senior UX Research Manager at Maven, you will: 

• Grow the research function at Maven and and define the strategy and success metrics for the team
• Hire and oversee a team of UX Researchers and create a team environment that helps them grow their careers at Maven
• Partner with the product management and product design to understand business needs and frame key questions for discovery
• Become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by delivering insights that highlight member needs and drive positive business results
• Build the frameworks to enable the UX research team to  balance all aspects of Maven’s business, considering member engagement, customer, and provider needs and help foster a user-centered Product development culture at Maven
• Create systems for the research handoff process to ensure teams understand when to engage with UX research and to deliver  insights when partners need to make a business impact
• Build out research process and tooling to streamline and scale out the function as Maven grows
• Be a champion of research and help foster a culture of user-centered decision making around the organization by training and supporting other teams on how to conduct research 

We’re looking for you to bring:

• 6+ years of user research experience (including writing and conducting user interviews and testing)
• 3+ years of people management experience including hiring and onboarding new team members
• Mastery of relevant research tools and methodologies (competitive analysis, data gathering, interviews, UX testing, etc); 
• Experience scaling out research function at growing organizations 
• Experience working with product teams and applying research methodologies to the product development process 
• Ability to empathize with and understand the unique perspective of our many audiences (patients, providers, care team, HR buyers)
• Experience creating research plans that address gaps in knowledge and will help us drive better business decisions 
• Deep research experience demonstrated through a portfolio of multiple case studies
• Strong communication, storytelling and collaboration skills
