The Role

The product you will be shaping is a one-of-a-kind platform that empowers our customers to effortlessly create high-end digital experiences. With this comes the opportunity to work on very unique and open-ended use cases within our creation-focused studio tool as well as redefining the end-to-end creative workflow all the way from planning, designing and reviewing to publishing and accessing performance analytics. The Principal Product Designer at Ceros is a very senior and hands-on role within the product design team. We are looking for a designer with in-depth experience in solving highly complex and unique UX problems, while applying exceptional UI design skills and a mature strategic mindset to drive impactful and intuitive experiences at the highest execution level.

You are used to successfully balance multiple initiatives, equally focusing on perfecting the near-term aspects of the product as well as bringing to life longer-term strategic initiatives. While you are comfortable working as an individual, you equally know how to lead collaborative projects with a hands-on attitude. You are highly respected within and beyond the product teams and broader organization.

Design Skills that make you a great fit for the role:

  • Experience Expertise. You are endlessly curious about your customers and apply user-centricity and empathy to everything that you are doing. You are fluent in translating research into actionable insights, informing strategic product decisions and relevant design solutions. 
  • Design Depth.  You have a long track record of translating highly complex and unique platform challenges into simplified frameworks and design solutions. You successfully use data in your decision making process and work very systematically and creatively both within and outside of existing design systems.
  • Outcome Obsession. You are highly focused on your design craft and are considered to be a top player in the UX and UI design space, with an ambition and ability to push the quality of execution across a diverse set of projects ranging from tactical to highly strategic. 
  • Future Foresight. You are comfortable with ambiguity and excited to tackle strategic challenges. You live and breathe the product roadmap and are an expert in blending insight and data with a strong product intuition to make future-focused design decisions.
  • Trusted Team-Player. You are a great collaborator as much as very comfortable to work independently and with a high degree of autonomy. You are well respected by your peers, confident in presenting and defending your designs, and you love mentoring junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct user research and concept testing and oversee research initiatives of other teams
  • Lead research synthesis and strategy development
  • Translate customer insights into meaningful UI concepts and user journeys 
  • Develop holistic user journey maps and frameworks
  • Develop the creative vision, direction and execution across key strategic and tactical product initiatives, both on the Ceros core product and the broader ecosystem 
  • Create system-level frameworks and patterns to drive scalable design solutions
  • Support the work of other designers / design teams
  • Utilize, build and maintain our design system
  • Develop detailed wireframe task-flows and user journeys
  • Create high-fidelity, pixel perfect UI screens and prototypes
  • Build comprehensive design documentation and specifications
  • Continuously test design assumptions in the product using real-world use cases
  • Lead the day to day collaboration with other product and cross-functional teams across the business
  • Collaborate closely with product engineering and proactively fill any specification gaps
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge in the design / content creation / MarTech / SaaS domain

Practical stuff we anticipate you having:

  • 8+ years of product-centric UX / UI design under your belt
  • Proven track record and expertise in complex UX / UI Design problem solving
  • Strong skills in visual design
  • Fluid in best practices in qualitative and quantitative user research and validation methodologies
  • A pro in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision and Zeplin
  • Knowledge of and experience using a variety of design, presentation and project tracking software
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • A top notch design portfolio, demonstrating process, outcomes and impact 
  • Bonus items:
    • Experience working in a remote-first environment
    • Background in B2B or SaaS and/or No-Code creation platforms
    • Motion design and/or video skills
    • Advanced prototyping skills (Flinto, Framer or Principle)

Ceros employees live and work all over the world, but our HQ is in New York and we’ve got offices in London and Prague.
