Our Technology and Operations team designs, builds and supports Billing and Payments and the core financial systems that power the business across The We Company. The We Company is growing rapidly and the complexity of the organization is increasing. Reporting to the SVP, Technology and Operations, the VP, Operations will play a key role in leading critical initiatives while driving strategy, planning, and execution across multiple teams. The VP, Operations is neither a shadow, nor a gatekeeper, rather a force-multiplier that enables agility, efficiency and speed of execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the SVP, Technology and Operations, to build a strong long-term strategy that aligns and influences the overall company direction, taking into account technology advances and industry trends
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and partners company-wide, to consolidate, align and operationalize strategic business decisions that will drive technology and supporting operations. Factors include the member experience, business value, system and data integrity, and compliance with all local regulatory rules.
  • Partner with People, Finance and Legal to operationalize processes, ensure compliance and build the  appropriate reporting infrastructure
  • Partner with Technology and Operations to design, implement, and manage the operational KPIs for the Technology and Operations organization. Set quarterly plans based on team’s priorities and apply KPIs to measure progress; manage actions, deliverables and inbound requests, based on business priorities
  • Coordinate the cross functional execution. Organize and execute activities in a productive and collaborative environment to accomplish goals
  • Align and inspire the organization by effectively communicating and engaging the team in the strategy and execution plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and/or MBA desired
  • 15+ years of progressive career experience in senior financial and management roles
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Exceptional aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated competency in multiple business functions including Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Legal, HR, Operations, and Logistics
  • Knowledge of business technologies with prior implementation experience
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to think strategically and act in a detailed, hands-on manner
  • Proven experience managing and influencing effectively in a matrix organized, multi-national company
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Entrepreneurial, with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity

Our headquarters in NYC sits in Chelsea, but our growing tech team works from our SoHo, Chelsea, and Greenwich Village offices.
