Product Design Manager
Codecademy, New York, NY seeks Product Design Manager -
- Define the product roadmap of internal tools for Codecademy’s curriculum team leveraging previous experience designing and building internal tools, including content management systems.
- Lead user research by leveraging design research methods and tools including usability tests, survey design and experiment design. Determine user experience / user interface requirements for new product features.
- Create user interface concepts including visual design, sketches, wireframes, task/workflows, and prototypes for new features and product flows utilizing prototyping tools and technologies including InVision as well as HTML, CSS and programming languages JavaScript and PHP.
- Communicate visual design solutions to the company’s development and engineering team utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Sketch and motion graphic/animation software including Adobe After Effects.
- Communicate and document project objectives and detailed specifications, and requirements as well as research findings, experiment results, and other similar reports utilizing PowerPoint and Google Sheets slide-creation software, Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
- Analyze data and make data drive-decisions utilizing tools including Excel, Google Analytics, and use of SQL and perform data analysis, including the ability to determine statistical significance and do forecasting models.
- Lead quality assurance efforts on functionality and design of new features.
- Coordinate user testing of new features, feature and product launches, and project timelines and cross-functional teams and resources utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and product development.
- Will travel 20% US and/or Int’l travel to attend conferences, meet w/clients and recruiting.
- Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Design & Management, Graphic Design or related design field and two (2) yrs. experience in the Job Offered.
- Experience must have included Use of the Adobe Creative Suite applications including Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Sketch, and motion graphics/animation software including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro;
- Use of Prototyping tools and technologies including InVision as well as HTML, CSS and programming language JavaScript and PHP;
- Ability to work with data to make data-driven design decisions utilizing tools including Excel, Google Analytics, and use of SQL and performing data analysis including the ability to determine statistical significance and do forecasting models;
