We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to play a crucial role in executing on the BentoBox roadmap. Product Designers will ensure both restaurateurs and restaurant guests have an exceptional experience when interacting with BentoBox products. This individual will work to enhance all parts of the user experience, to bring the most valuable products from ideation to life.

Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes to solve difficult UX problems in a fast paced environment.
  • Work with product and engineering team members to define requirements, not just translate them to design
  • Ship, measure, and improve your designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback
  • A deep understanding of end to end iterative UX product design process, including how to develop and use personas, user stories, journey mapping, wireframing and prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity visuals
  • Help evolve product design strategy based on research, hospitality industry trends, and data acquired through direct, proactive interactions with our restaurant customers
  • Ensure designs delivered adhere to a previously defined timeline and requirements
  • Advocating for good user experience across our teams and our platform
  • Design products to make simple, elegant user experiences
  • Uphold BentoBox’s core mission, vision, and principles

Skills & Attributes

  • 3+ years product design experience, ideally building digital products for small businesses
  • A deep empathy for the user
  • Strong product intuition with an understanding of thoughtful UX design and decisions
  • Affinity for consistency, color, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details
  • Knowledge of current trends in design and technology
  • Driven by simplicity
  • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, browsers, and devices
  • While not required, the ability to prototype ideas and write front-end code, (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.) is preferred
  • Body of design work demonstrating a keen eye for user experience
  • Proficiency in Sketch, Zeplin, Photoshop or similar tools
