As a product designer at ButterflyMX you'll be responsible for delivering products that truly solve the problems our users face.

The design discipline is in its infancy at the company, making this a unique opportunity for meaningful impact on shaping the future direction of the team, our practices and ultimately the success of the company.
 

Product Designer

You excel at user experience design but have a broad skill-set that we can rely upon to bridge gaps as we build out the team. You'll build experiences on web, mobile and hardware devices, so ideally you have experience in all three but a strong appreciation for the nuances of each is a must. You think the idea of using a key to get into your building (home or office) is old-fashioned and are excited by the idea of getting rid of them once and for all.

This role reports to VP of Product Development and is based in the New York office.

REQUIREMENTS

You:

• Know how to work in an agile product team and have experience working at a startup
• Have an opinion on how a design team should be structured, what process should be implemented and how to do it
• Have a track record of designing beautiful mobile, web or IoT device experiences, or (bonus points) all three.
• (Ideally) Live in (or have lived in) a multi-family residential building. Bonus points if it has one of our intercoms at the front door
• Believe in high-tech over high-touch solutions to problems in life, but hate the idea of technology 'for the sake of it'
