About the role

SimpleHealth comprises a suite of products, from our consultation website, to our patient dashboard, to our support software, to the tools our doctors use to write and manage prescriptions. Each of those products has a set of unique needs, but all need to be simple, easy to use, functional, and consistent with our brand.

As a product designer, you’ll be responsible for developing new features and maintaining existing products and interfaces. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to improve our design systems, collaborate with product and engineering partners on user research, and build understanding and resources for your stakeholders and users.

Responsibilities include:

• Product exploration, from wireframing user interactions and journeys to collaborating on business cases
• Communicating how the user experience should work and look, and the thinking process behind these decisions.
• Documenting interface components and working with engineers to implement improvements and new features
• Measuring the performance of our user experience over a variety of user and business metrics, including conversion rate, retention, and engagement
• Maintaining a design system to improve cross-functional efficiency
• Representing accessibility concerns in our work to build an inclusive suite of products

About you

The right person for this role has:

• Experience working with high growth, direct to consumer brands
• Undergraduate degree in design or the equivalent experience and practice
• A portfolio that showcases your ability to create high-quality products and interfaces
• An understanding of how to use performance data to iterate on and improve products
• System thinking: ability to connect individual features and work efforts to a broader system of design
• A curious nature: wanting to learn and grow with our patients using A/B and multivariate testing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with stakeholders and other non-designers
• An entrepreneurial spirit; the ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment 

Bonus skills & experience:

• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Understanding of customer insights and market research
• Experience with internationalization and accessibility initiatives
• Facilitation experience in design sprints or other design thinking practices
