Senior Art Director
The Harry’s creative team directly oversees or has a hand in making pretty much everything that Harry’s puts out in the world that isn’t an actual men’s care product (and we’ll get involved in those too, if someone leaves the door cracked). We’re looking for a senior art director who can join the team to help us continue to put work that we can be proud of into the world. That’s everything from little things (emails, for example), to bigger things (like an omni-channel campaign). Still interested? Read on.
What you’ll do at Harry’s:
- Create all types of content including but not limited to print, out of home, video and animation, digital marketing, experiential, social content, emails, and more.
- Be responsible for maintaining our quality standards and guidelines across channels and executions—from POS to retail displays to promotions to our website; we sweat the details and nothing should seem too minor for your attention.
- Develop and execute campaigns to support all facets of the business, including new product launches, event-based activations, and general advertising concepts.
- Design and help to concept compelling assets and advertising that captivate and engage both new and existing customers, across mediums.
- Commission and work with photographers, illustrators, designers, animators and other creative partners on projects of various scales that will support larger brand vision, voice and goals (bonus points if you have your own stable of creatives to draw from when you or the team at large might need external resources).
- Work closely with colleagues and the Creative Director, keeping them in the loop and helping teams develop and prepare work for creative reviews.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director on agency partnerships—guiding work and providing input at every stage, from concept through execution.
- Build strong, supportive, and constructive relationships throughout the creative team (obviously) and cross-functionally.
- Present creative work passionately and persuasively to stakeholders across the organization and beyond.
- Art direct high-quality still life and lifestyle shoots.
Background & Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or brand identity.
- At least four years in a leadership position.
- BA or BFA in graphic design, advertising, or related field.
- Smart, dynamic portfolio with strengths in typography, composition, design systems, storytelling, and proven experience with creative development across multiple functions.
- Experience art directing polished, purposeful still-life photography both before, during, and after the shoot.
- Knowledge of photography production and post-production (experience with video production and post is a plus).
- Ability to be self-sufficient and juggle many different types of projects on different timelines, with independent time-management skills.
- Ability and experience presenting work in meetings, and selling creative visions to various stakeholders, cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, and Keynote and a working knowledge of html/css and web standards. (After Effects, and Premier a plus.)
- Ability with motion, video, or illustration, or an interest in growing and developing those skills would be a plus. A minor plus would be experience with production, or with managing producers.
