WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and participate in user-centered activities for clients
  • Lead the data analysis and development of mental models, customer-journey maps, and service blueprints
  • Lead user research and usability testing activities
  • Present research findings, insights, recommendations and design to clients and internal teams
  • Hands on creation site maps, flows, navigation strategies and wireframe prototypes and annotations
  • Collaborate with content strategy leads on hierarchy and taxonomy
  • Collaborate with creative leads on process, interaction design and flows
  • Serve as UX Lead for new-business activities, presentations and estimates
  • Delegate work to more junior UX designers as needed/appropriate
  • Mentor associate-level UX designers

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • 3-5 years of experience with UX software including Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe XD, Framer, OmniGraffle or other products
  • Understanding of design thinking practices
  • Excellent ability to explain complex design decisions to experts and laypeople
  • Strong ability to lead user research and testing activities and deliverables
  • Strong understanding of interaction design and usability best practices
  • Understanding of responsive design
  • Strong ability to lead UX activities within both agile and waterfall environments
  • Ability to accurately estimate and delegate work so that it is delivered on time and on budget
  • Strong understanding of relevant technologies for desktop and mobile
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • High-level knowledge of visual design and front-end development
  • Sound business acumen; strategic skills
  • Willing to travel (if needed)
