Senior Product Designer, Design Systems
DISQO is changing the way that the world’s largest brands, agencies and consumer intelligence companies get to know their consumers. We’ve built the first identity-based platform that combines consumer attitudes and behaviors together to power the most accurate and predictive insights solutions for our customers, and we do all of that with the willing participation of our consumers and without using outdated technologies like third-party cookies. We help our customers get a cross-platform view into consumer sentiment, measure advertising effectiveness, analyze consumer purchase journeys, and ultimately grow their brands.
Our mission at DISQO is to engage people to share their opinions and behaviors openly to help our customers make the right decisions. With over one million active members sharing their attitudes and behaviors, DISQO is looking to expand, improve and create world-class applications for people to openly share their data for research.
We're looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to lead the design of useful, usable, and desirable design patterns to help standardize and scale the experiences of consumer applications which span across multiple platforms. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, exciting, and highly motivated team poised to create real impact.
Come help us grow our design practice and contribute to developing product strategy as a champion for systems thinking and human centered design. You’ll work closely with our engineering, product, and marketing teams to discover and solve new, challenging problems in the advertising and marketing technology space.
What you will do
- Evangelize the value of a design system for developers through great documentation and standardization of design dev assets.
- Communicate design decisions and represent/advocate for the user’s voice when presenting and strategizing with cross-functional partners including stakeholders, product managers, engineers, etc.
- Foster a partnership with our marketing team to align and mature our brand through a systems design approach.
- Create a culture of shipping regular, consistent, and incremental updates to the design system across design and development.
- Incorporate platform specific heuristics to keep our design system up-to-date with the latest standards and best practices.
- Build a process to capture, prioritize, and manage feedback requests to improve or add new capabilities to the design system.
- Communicate change management with transparency and clarity to foster meaningful collaboration, awareness, and adoption of the design system.
- Inspire, mentor, and upskill the design team on how to design with greater efficiency and creativity by utilizing the design system.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience designing high quality consumer applications and experiences.
- The ability to design whole systems, not just interface elements or static pages.
- Strong design workflows and organized design habits in Figma (familiarity with tokens is a bonus).
- Experience and interest in the entire design stack, including UI, UX, visual, interaction, and motion design.
- Demonstrable understanding and practical experience of designing for web accessibility and usability standards.
- Experience building across platforms including responsive web, iOS, macOS, Android, Windows, and browser extensions.
- Understand when no design is the best design.
- Bring a strong design aesthetic and understand how to articulate multiple brands.
- Desire to create thoughtful, inspiring, and approachable designs that predict and exceed user expectations.
- A practiced balance between perfection and shipping. Exhibit humility and kindness for your teams in everyday interactions.
- A great attitude, collaborative spirit, and openness to soliciting, and receiving feedback.
- A strong understanding of how React, Swift, Kotlin, and other relevant front-end engineering technologies influence and shape the feasibility of designs.
