Lead the design of new features and updates across the entire product. Use strong communication skills (verbal and written) to work closely with engineers, data scientists, and other designers to create presentations that recommend design decisions for all stakeholders, create user flows and charts to communicate with engineers and data scientists to collaborate on information architecture, create high-fidelity prototypes to review with designers and engineers, and create details requirements (tools: Jira, Confluence) to deliver high-fidelity functional designs to engineers. Work with user research to participate in iterative design sprints. Run small online and in-house usability tests on current and future features. Help shape the visual and brand direction with our application and web properties. Create prototypes of low, medium, and high fidelity to bring concepts to life for users and executive review.

 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Design, Industrial Design, Technology, Visual Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience designing digital products from conception and information architecture to the final user interface. Must also have the following: 2 years of professional experience solving design problems (including research on key user problems in particular fields, research on competitors in the market, creating intuitive flows for product experience, and evaluating success through metrics); 2 years of professional experience working with design principles (including typography and layout); 2 years of professional experience using visual design skills including document Process Flows (using Photoshop and Illustrator), presentation design (using Keynote), and translating UI requirements into wireframes (using Photoshop and Illustrator); 2 years of professional experience using device-based information architecture and design; 1 year of professional experience using Sketch or Omnigraffle; 1 year of professional experience using prototyping and motion design tools (including HTML/CSS and After Effects). In lieu of a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Design, Industrial Design, Technology, Visual Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience designing digital products from conception and information architecture to the final user interface. Must also have the following: 2 years of professional experience solving design problems (including research on key user problems in particular fields, research on competitors in the market, creating intuitive flows for product experience, and evaluating success through metrics); 2 years of professional experience working with design principles (including typography and layout); 2 years of professional experience using visual design skills including document Process Flows (using Photoshop and Illustrator), presentation design (using Keynote), and translating UI requirements into wireframes (using Photoshop and Illustrator); 2 years of professional experience using device-based information architecture and design; 1 year of professional experience using Sketch or Omnigraffle; 1 year of professional experience using prototyping and motion design tools (including HTML/CSS and After Effects).
