In order to most effectively prevent injuries in a given operational environment, we work closely with each client across many dedicated and leading-edge teams, including client services, data and engineering, IT security and others. Each safety program is tailored to the needs of the workers on the ground and the managers who oversee them, including what types of safety wearables and attachment options will suit them best, and the look and cadence of the safety reports that we’ll provide. The result is an actionable and scalable safety solution that seamlessly becomes part of a facility’s daily routine and is proven to prevent workplace injuries by as much as 64% across hundreds or thousands of Industrial Athletes.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Product Designer you will play a vital role in the product discovery and development process. You will lead UX projects and own the design of a product area or cross-product features. You will help champion the mentality of ‘show them, not tell them’. With a highly visual and interactive approach you will help take the impossible and enable the organization to envision the possible.

You are responsible for evangelizing the end user needs and their workflow. You will own the user experience and help craft very intuitive and simple tools that help our end users be Proud. Protected. Productive. You will work very collaboratively with partners in Product Management and Engineering, you will identify the right problems to solve and use design methods to choose and iterate on solutions.

The ideal candidate for this position has an excellent knowledge of the latest UX trends, techniques, and technology. You are a natural storyteller and articulate ideas in a highly visual and interactive way and are comfortable presenting to customers, end users, and internal business stakeholders. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead user research and testing to understand and visualize key user needs to help take the product & UX to the next level
  • Lead design product design initiatives from initial requirements to release, including
    • User research
    • UX design
    • Low fidelity mock-ups
    • Interactive prototypes
    • User-validation cycles
    • High fidelity UX & visual designs
  • Guide collaborative design sessions to define the user experience and contribute to information architecture
  • Turn concepts into user flows, journey maps, and wireframes to create innovative UX for our products 
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Client Success and Sales & Marketing to develop and execute on product roadmap, conversion strategies & brand

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of product design / UI / UX experience preferably enterprise SaaS, web, mobile or with an IoT, wearable with big data analytics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a design related field or working experience of the equivalent.
  • Understand Design-Thinking with an eye towards user experience and user empathy
  • A skilled storyteller and ‘conceptor’, with experience working in a multidisciplinary environment to develop concepts that delight customers and deliver business results
  • Able to clearly articulate your design methodology clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
  • A high level of proficiency with industry standard design software (i.e Sketch, Figma, Adobe CS, Invision, Balsamiq or other UI/UX related tools).
  • Designed solutions for complex domains and workflows, understanding the complexities to make them simpler and more approachable.
  • Experience designing and shipping products in the hand of users for a broad range of platforms, web / mobile (iOS / Android)
  • Portfolio requirements: 
    • UX focused product design case studies that showcase real-world impact
    • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to create effective user-centered design solutions.
