Job Description

We are looking for a Senior User Experience Design Lead to join our growing Digital Customer Experience team, where you will be working alongside our Managing Directors, the Sr. Product Design Lead, leads large and impactful initiatives within Merchant Services, utilizing a facilitative leadership style with senior design, research, product, and engineering leaders. A Senior Experience Design Lead, you are comfortable and capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams across the full range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. Leveraging your partnerships with Product Management and Engineering Leads, you will help develop the product and business strategy to inform the prioritization, planning, and decisions across multiple product teams. You will help solve user problems in the world of how businesses pay and get paid .
Job Responsibilities

  • Liaise with product managers to define design requirements
  • Lead workshops with designers, researchers and internal stakeholders to identify key problems to solve and gather feedback on design concepts
  • Design or define new concept strategies for future state product features
  • Lead Cross-functionally within the team and with stakeholders
  • Continually advocate for users throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Review graphics, layouts and fonts before products are completed
  • Finalize and deliver wireframes, redlines and ADA spec designs
  • Follow release deadlines to ensure timely delivery of work
  • Follow up with product managers and BSA's to ensure their requirements are met
  • Keep up-to-date with trends techniques and software


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience designing customer experiences and shipping products
  • Experience across multiple release cycles working closely with design, product management + development teams to realize experiences designs using agile project management
  • Experience creating wireframes and detailed visual design documents (comps, redlines) for shipping products
  • Experience designing for finance, banking, payment-related spaces is nice to have
  • Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
  • Ability to develop and sustain effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders
  • Effective communication of design solutions across roles & levels
  • Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)
  • Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies and their application and relevance to digital experiences
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment with distributed teams across in New York, Delaware, Texas and India
  • BFA or BA in related field graduate design degree preferred
  • Portfolio which demonstrates your design approach and delivery of user-centered product solutions
  • Experience in the financial services or similar industry a plus
