UX Researcher
Our mission: to eliminate every barrier to mental health.
Spring Health is a comprehensive mental health solution for employers and health plans. Unlike any other solution, we use clinically validated technology called Precision Mental Healthcare to pinpoint and deliver exactly what will work for each person — whether that’s meditation, coaching, therapy, medication, and beyond.
Today, Spring Health serves more than 200 companies, from start-ups to multinational Fortune 500 corporations, and is a preferred mental health provider to companies like General Mills, Guardian, Bain, and Instacart. We have raised over $300 million from prominent investors including Kinnevik, Tiger Global, Northzone, RRE Ventures, Rethink Impact, Work-Bench, William K Warren Foundation, SemperVirens, Able Partners, True Capital Ventures, and a strategic investor, Guardian Life Insurance. Thanks to their partnership, our current valuation has reached $2 billion.
Spring Health is looking for a UX Researcher to join our small, mighty, and growing UX Research team. You will conduct research to better understand our users, partnering across teams to find and deliver data-driven insights that impact our product definition, strategy, and business objectives. You are a hands-on, collaborative researcher who is excited to take ownership and drive impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead research throughout the product life-cycle from early stage research, through iterative prototype testing, and post-launch measurement
- Build on past research and evolve insights over time
- Proactively collaborate with technical, clinical, and commercial teams to define a research roadmap that will inform projects as well as business opportunities
- Build out our understanding of the people who use our products by conducting research that informs user archetypes and personas
- Collaborate with technical, clinical, and commercial teams while communicating insights and recommendations
- Contribute to our vision to eliminate every barrier to mental healthcare and establish Spring Health as global center of excellence for behavioral health
- You will evolve healthcare UX design best practices towards a more compassionate, progressive, and accessible future
What we expect from you:
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years proven track record conducting UX Research in a product setting - designing, running, and reporting on your own studies
- Demonstrated proficiency in qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies including when and how to apply them during each product phase
- Strong consensus building, persuasion, and presentation skills
- Experience with and enthusiasm around working on a cross-functional product development team
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
- Above all, you are empathetic, generous, and curious; you understand that our product can have a significant impact on real lives and you put users first in every decision you make
