Senior Manager Design Operations

The Global Product Design and Research team owns the end-to-end experience for all our customers from the college kids in Philly ordering late night snacks to the mom in St. Louis taking care of her babies needs and from the Gopuff driver in Denver to the fulfillment center worker in London. We build the apps and tools that power all aspects of Gopuff's global delivery service. We're organized around our three primary customers; consumers, delivery partners, and filed ops professionals. We're a diverse distributed team of creators, questioners, dreamers and builders who dive deep into our customers needs and deliver innovative solutions for this new category of immediate everyday needs.
POSITION SUMMARY
Gopuff is seeking an experienced Design Operations Manager to establish and lead the design operations team at our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and project management, as well as experience building and managing teams. In this role you will work with designers, researchers, content writers, product managers and engineers across the company to establish the design ops function and socialize best practices. This is a critical role in shaping the future of the team. The role is part of the design and research leadership team. Key responsibilities

    • Managing workflow and processes: help design teams establish and follow clear processes for managing projects, including defining roles and responsibilities, setting deadlines, and tracking progress.
    • Measuring and improving performance: use data and metrics to track the performance of design teams and identify areas for improvement. Work with design teams to develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Providing resources and support: work to ensure that design teams have the resources they need to do their work effectively, such as access to research data, user feedback, and design assets. They may also provide support with tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and project management.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8+ years of experience in design operations or a related role
    • Proven experience leading and managing successful design operations teams
    • Strong understanding of advanced design and project management principles
    • Experience with design tools and technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Bachelor's degree in design, project management, or a related field


Compensation

    • Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. Compensation for U.S. locations is based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area.
    • Remote (New York)
    • Salary Range: USD $125,400 - $199,200.
    • The salary range above reflects what we'd reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
