We’re currently seeking a Store and Visual Merchandising Design Assistant to support, concept, design and develop all visual aspects of Away’s retail network, across store design, window displays, and visual merchandising.

This position will report to the Head of Store and Visual Merchandising and is based out of our NoHo, NYC headquarters.

REQUIREMENTS

What you’ll do:

• Support and assist on design tasks including developing concepts, design development, construction documentation, project management, procurement and installation
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve design challenges
• Prepare drawings and material specifications as needed for construction and sign off
• Design and distribute visual merchandising guidelines and design-related store communications
• Assist in the design and development of all store fixtures, signage, POS and displayers
• Coordinate and organize material samples and reference library
• Organize information for meetings with internal team, external partners and others engaged in the design projects

Who you are:

• 1-3 years of directly relevant experience in bringing stores and VM to life
• Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office
• Passion and interest in the retail environment
• Strong communication and graphic presentation skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex projects
• Self-starter who’s curious and excited to learn
