The Role:  

The Technical Instructional Designer is critical to our Sales Learning and Enablement function, and will drive the development of applications and sales tools content to maximize learning  impact in our curriculum. Reporting to the Manager of Sales Learning & Development, you will assess all Sales team eLearning and current technical and tools curriculum to evaluate if content meets our team’s current and future needs. You’ll lead the charge in designing and developing customized, technical interactive online  eLearning modules, blended learning programs, navigation guides, demos and virtual instructor led sessions. You’ll also develop strong platform demos to support the sales teams in their sales efforts. Your work will reflect a strong focus on design efforts that are highly interactive and that ensure our sales and customer success teams are equipped with content, tools, and key learnings to differentiate and sell Newsela solutions.

You'll be empowering our sales and customer success teams to help enhance how they go to market and distinguish themselves from the competition, ultimately bringing engaging, culturally responsive learning content into the hands of K-12 students and teachers nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You: 

You have 5+ years of technical design and development experience, deep knowledge and/or certification in Salesforce (SFDC) and other sales applications and tools like Highspot, Learning Management Systems, and G Suite applications. You have demonstrated the ability to develop content and programs with concrete impact on sales teams. You also have experience in educational publishing, sales enablement, adult learning, professional development, sales process and sales methodology. You possess a deep knowledge of technical instructional design, and an understanding of best practices in how programs are to be constructed for sales audiences is key. You leverage your ability to identify skill gaps and formulate learning objectives based on interviews with project stakeholders. You’re excited to work cross-functionally with sales optimization, marketing, product, and various other teams to deliver best in class learning content. You must also be proficient in e-learning tools including Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise 360. You are continuously seeking to strengthen your knowledge of the K-12 education market, and are always learning more about the breadth and depth of the sector by keeping a pulse on industry and regional trends.
