Collibra seeks a skilled and passionate User Experience Designer with good visual skills to join our product research and design team.  Our customers are some of the most data-intensive companies on the planet and you will dive deep with teammates, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to deliver user-empowering enterprise data management and intelligence solutionsTogether we’ll set the tone and pace for creating satisfying experiences that have measurable positive impacts on our business.

UX designers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Co-inventing and growing product concepts alongside multidisciplinary team members in order to create beneficial, robust, accessible, and high-performing interactions
  • Communicating task-flow and detailed interaction behaviors through clear documentation and confident presentations so stakeholders grasp and endorse design direction
  • Planning strategy and tactics for UX project delivery to have a high impact-to-effort ratio
  • Promoting best design practices and qualitative and quantitative assessment methodologies to produce consistent and effective experiences 
  • Mentoring and teaching design and engineering colleagues

You have:

  • 5+ years of applicable experience and/or  Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related field
  • Demonstrable growth over multiple projects of full-lifecycle, goal-centered, web, desktop, and mobile design work for complex domains
  • The ability to collect and synthesize feedback and input from users, business managers, Collibra leadership, product management, and engineering teams and then present design direction based on it
  • The ability to express a clear design philosophy with strategies for implementation

You are:

  • Experienced managing or leading interdependent multidisciplinary teams 
  • Experienced applying modern design systems
  • Experienced designing sophisticated products for global markets
  • Able to explain design rationale in executive-level design reviews

Reporting to the Director of User Experience, measures of success will be:

  • Month 1: Dive into initial Collibra and UX  onboarding and begin building functional knowledge of our products.
  • Month 2: Understand Collibra product design priorities and participate in all design team activities
  • Month 3: Take on a product project and begin work defining goals and objectives
