OkCupid’s Product Team is looking to hire a curious and empathetic User Researcher!

As a User Researcher at OkCupid, you’ll have the opportunity to dig deep into the experiences and behavior of a vast and diverse user base: online daters. You’ll be responsible for conducting research projects throughout the design and development process, from discovery to evaluative research. As you work to uncover pain points, unmet needs and opportunities throughout the development cycle, you will work closely with designers and PMs to communicate findings and advise on product changes. You’ll also support the lead user researcher in growing and further professionalizing the operations of the research practice at OkCupid. Our team is mighty and lean, so you’ll be conducting research that will directly influence key features in our product roadmap and shape the face of dating in the U.S. and beyond. Some of our recent research projects have included understanding how people navigate dating in the ever-changing landscape of COVID19 and the needs of a new generation of people outside the U.S. who have some choice over who they date for the first time.

This role will report to the Senior User Researcher. This position will be fully remote until April 2021, but candidates should ultimately be located or willing to relocate to New York City.

We’re open to mid-level candidates for this position.
